Propane-powered Red Bus Operating in Glacier National Park
Leased vehicle currently being tested as employee shuttle

Glacier National Park is testing a prototype employee shuttle bus this winter through an agreement with the Propane Promotion Consortium, Inc. (ProCon), a commercial group supporting propane energy applications. The bus, leased to the park for $1/year, is powered by propane and will be available for the park for an extended analysis period.

Reno, NV (May 11, 2004) - The propane industry will showcase the 2004 dedicated propane-powered low-floor shuttle bus at the 55th Annual Western Regional Propane Gas Trade Show and Convention. The shuttle bus traveled from Ft. Lauderdale , Florida to Reno , Nevada , testing its performance and durability in various climates and altitudes. The shuttle bus will be on display at the Propane Vehicle Council booth, just outside the entrance of the Silver Legacy Resort and Casino's City Center Pavilion May 13-15.

Lauderdale, Fla (April 29, 2004) - The propane industry will showcase the 2004 General Motors dedicated propane-powered school and shuttle buses at the U.S. Department of Energy's 10 th National Clean Cities Conference and Expo. The school bus traveled from Oregon and the shuttle bus traveled from Michigan , to test their performance and durability in various climates and altitudes. The buses will be on display at the PROPANE Exceptional Energy booth #323 at the Greater Ft. Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, May 3-5.

New Propane-Powered Buses Bring Environmental 'Exceptional Energy' to NPGA Southeastern Trade Show

Department of Energy, will showcase the cutting-edge fuel-system technology of the first-ever 2004 GM dedicated propane (LPG) buses. The buses will be shown at the National Propane Gas Association's Southeastern Convention and Trade Show from April 3-5, 2004. Now EPA and CARB certified, the buses are available for order through local dealerships.

The 2004 Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon , Georgia provided an excellent backdrop to introduce Georgia to General Motors' new clean-burning propane School Bus and shuttle. The bus was the centerpiece for the festival's opening ceremony and received much attention during special events such as the Balloon Glow, Air Show, Around the Town Tours and the Children Arts Extravaganza. This tour was part of the outreach activities of the U.S. Department of Energy sponsored by the Middle Georgia Clean Cities Coalition (MGCCC). The Department of Energy and the Coalition are the voice for expanding the use of alternatives to gasoline and diesel fuel, accelerating the deployment of Alternative Fuel Vehicles (AFVs) and building local AFV refueling infrastructures in Middle Georgia.
